Characteristic

The automatic painting line is specially designed for the surface coating of plastic helmet products to serve European customers. The helmet coating line consists of a chain conveyor system, and pre-treatment chambers with high-pressure, anti-static nozzles. Dust-free spray booth, automatic paint mixing system, drying and integrated system, stable temperature, control system, environmentally friendly exhaust gas treatment.

Paint stages of the automatic painting system

1. Attach parts and products to the paint jig

Plastic products will be attached to a hanging or clamping paint jig for easy cleaning and painting. A paint jig carries the product from start to finish of the paint line using a chain conveyor system or a conveyor that runs under the floor conveyor. The speed of the conveyor is controlled and adjustable.
Depending on the size of the product and the responsiveness of the jigs and paint lines, each paint jig can mount, and hang several products at the same time or just one product per jig. The common feature of these paint jigs is that they can all rotate during translational motion.

2. Surface treatment of products

The quality of the product's surface before painting greatly determines the durability of the paint layer on the surface of the product. Details, plastic products before painting need to be cleaned. After attaching the details, workers will roughen the surface of the product and then blow dry the surface with high-pressure nozzles. Here, the product is sprayed with an anti-static layer to remove dirt to ensure surface quality.

3. Spray paint

The spray coating process includes Primer, Base Coating, and Clear Coating. Paint colors are mixed and changed automatically by the 2K color mixer, giving different resolutions and leading to the nozzle thanks to the paint mixing system and paint pipe. Color resolution is controllable and adjustable.

The product rotates 360° and incorporates a Nano paint sprayer that moves up and down thanks to a flexible 6-axis robotic arm or a manipulator that has been programmed with the optimal nozzle distance and trajectory.

Paint dust in the air is sucked in by the circulating water screen by the air supply system and circulating water pump to the cellar and treatment tank to reduce the risk of fire and explosion and be environmentally friendly.

4. Product drying

After each painting step, the product should be dried in an oven (heated by hot air from a gas or oil combustion chamber). Or drying by UV or infrared depending on the sensitivity of the product. Drying temperature and time depend on product size and texture as well as coating thickness.

5. Painting Jig

Plastic paint jigs after a period of use will be covered with a thick layer of paint. Jig removal is also a stage that needs attention. Can be bleached with chemicals or sandblasted, and burned Jig depending on the technology requirements and investment level of the customer.

2. Air Compression System & Air Dryer

a. Compressor

Industrial air compressors have the function of increasing gas pressure. The pressure generated from the air compressor will be converted into compressed air energy and heat energy. For high-capacity compressors, the kinetic energy principle creates a very large flow and capacity. Air compressors operate on this principle: centrifugal compressors, convection compressors, and mixed-flow air compressors. The main task of the air compressor is to create and compress the air to create thrust for the spray gun to spray paint on the surface of the product.

b. Air dryer

The air dryer in the powder coating system plays an extremely important role, in deciding whether the powder coating step for the product is most effective due to the process of separating and drying the compressed air before it passes through the spray gun. paint. The main task of the air dryer is not only separating water from the compressed air but also separating the impurities and oil molecules in the compressed air to create a clean and dry air source when combined with the filter.

3. Clean air supply system

The clean air supply system for the paint booth is very important, which can directly affect the quality of the product. The painted chamber clean air supply system must be designed to prevent dust, temperature, humidity, total air supply/hour, frequency of air exchange, and fresh air intake rate must be controlled to suit the job. paint technology for each type of product.

The technique of air distribution in the paint chamber is a unidirectional air flow to reduce the dispersion of paint in the paint chamber. The air supply box for the paint booth must have an area large enough to cover the entire paint area as well as provide enough airflow according to the design. The filter system and noise control ensure the comfort of workers in the painted area.

4. Paint odor treatment system

Using a water film to collect paint dust and at the same time combine it with an activated carbon filter to treat the smell of paint solvents, maximizing the efficiency of filtering paint odors before pushing them out into the environment.

5. Fire fighting system, paint wastewater treatment

a. System of fire

Fire hazard of powder coating due to spray paint in the form of fog in high voltage field. Inadequate gas exchange can create a fire hazard in painted areas and ventilation systems. The source of ignition heat can be sparks generated at the connections of conductors to transformers, earthing equipment, control panels, and in some other locations where the insulation of conductors is destroyed. Therefore, powder coating fire prevention measures are always calculated and designed by engineers right from the stage of planning.

A powder coated fire protection system includes:

- Design and ensure the ventilation system works with high reliability, eliminating the possibility of forming dangerous concentrations of fire and explosion.

- The volume of air sucked out is determined according to the speed of air movement through the chamber door.

- There is a chain lock system to ensure that the device is only opened after the blower operates and automatically shuts off when the blower does not work.

- There is a chain lock system for the door of the paint booth, ensuring the high power disconnection of the cable and stopping the rotation of the rotating bowl in the nozzle when this door is open, to prevent paint vapor from escaping into the neighboring rooms.

- Design of the "stop" button ensures complete disconnection of painting equipment from the electrical network in the event of a problem or damage.

b. Paint wastewater treatment system

The component of paint dust in the paint spraying process is retained by the water film in the spray booth; along the water stream to the recirculation tank. From here, the wastewater is transferred to a treatment system to separate the pollutants from the water and recirculate the treated water.
