At the beginning of 2019, the investor VinFast deployed to install the electric bus production line, CNC-VINA continued to be trusted and selected as the general contractor of the project to install the electric bus paint line.

Pretreatment and electrolytic coating (PT/ED)

The first station in the painting process is pretreatment, where the frames from the paint shop are cleaned, degreased, and phosphate in preparation for the next coat of paint. The second step of the process is the next topcoat. Apply a layer of anti-corrosion primer by immersing the entire body of the vehicle in a conductive bath. To ensure that the interior is also properly treated, the bodywork is soaked in a paint bath.

We focus on creating systems with high flexibility, space-saving and low operating costs. By continuously filtering the residue on the surface and inside of the electrolytic paint, our system restores cleanliness, and 80%-90% quality recovery after recycling, thus reducing both paint repurchase costs electrolyte and water consumption.

The gantry crane is suitable for bus body requirements, especially for very long dimensions and low vehicle traffic. The chassis is transported horizontally from one treatment tank to the next, allowing for compact layouts with short conveyor sections.

Paint spray booth

The spray booth - the core of the paint shop - is where the car's premium finish is produced, which determines the quality and value of the final product. CNC-VINA designs high-performance modular injection chambers with integrated application and conveyor systems, space-saving layouts, and intelligent, energy-efficient processes.

All painting tasks can be done in one station. This means that no time is wasted moving the chassis from one spray booth to another. The recirculation air system is carefully considered by us, fresh air continuously circulates through these chambers.

Dry the paint in the oven

The optimal drying process for curing is the key to a perfect painted surface. CNC-VINA offers the right systems for every process in the coating line. We draw on our long experience and process expertise to dry our processes. Streamlined drying modules, integrated along the side walls of the oven, save space. We make sure you get the most out of every square meter.

Glue pump to cover the undercarriage, soundproof cover

Welds and seams are sealed before painting. In this process, overlapping panels or joints are glued with a special PVC material. These measures will prevent water from seeping into the car's interior later.

Individual battery cells are very sensitive and must be combined together in a battery system. Our technology ensures a precise and even distribution of adhesives and sealing compounds, and creates a completely airtight environment free of impurities. Moisture cannot enter and the gas produced cannot escape.

Check and repair before moving to the assembly area

The perfect surface finish is the result of a paint process designed to perfection. Quality control takes place at the coating thickness assurance station or coating surface inspection. As QCs work to ensure perfect surface quality, optimal working conditions are required.

We have created a quality control work area that meets the needs of QC people. Our design allows for precise visual inspection, highly focused lighting design, creating ideal environment. This allows paint irregularities to be identified consistently and with the best possible accuracy. The variable luminance in the reflection helps them detect perforation defects and larger defects in the paintwork.
